Brouwerij Het Nest in Turnhout pushed the boundaries of the Belgian Tripel with Fonskus, a bold infusion of gin and liqueur that plays subtly throughout the beer. The pour reveals a dark golden to light brown colour, crowned with a fine white head.

The aroma opens with pronounced gin botanicals and spice notes. On the palate, the beer is peppery and fairly sweet, with a round, full mouthfeel that carries through to a light bitter finish, restoring balance.

Fonskus is a playful experiment that stretches the tripel style without abandoning its core identity.
