GSIS stands for German Stroopwaffels Imperial Stout, an ambitious release from Atelier Vrai in Germany. This powerful stout at 13.2% ABV spent 18 months maturing in Old Forester Whiskey Bourbon barrels, gaining rich layers of vanilla, toffee and oak.

The nose reveals dark chocolate and coffee with subtle bourbon undertones. The palate is built on roasted and caramel malt character, wrapped in full body and warming alcohol. The finish is dry and lingering, with assertive bitterness that tempers the sweet foundation.
