Gouden Carolus Cuvée van de Keizer Beer Infused is an ambitious expression from Brouwerij Het Anker in Mechelen, blending their Imperial Dark with an infusion of Gouden Carolus Single Malt. The result is a complex, full-bodied beer at 11.7% ABV with a copper hue.

The nose reveals dark stone fruit—plums, figs, dates—alongside molasses, vanilla and woody notes. On the palate, these elements align: rich dark fruit, caramel and oak form the core, supported by the warmth of elevated alcohol. The infusion adds depth without dominating.

The finish is elegant and lingering. This beer is often compared to a digestif and rewards slow appreciation, ideally after a meal.
