Tongerlo Prior is an authentic Belgian tripel brewed by Brouwerij Haacht in honour of the prior of Tongerlo Abbey, a Norbertine monastery. This abbey beer stands out through a rich fruit character that complements the hop bitterness. It pours a clear golden colour with a full, effervescent mouthfeel.

The taste is pronounced: banana and peach meld with spice notes of clove and nutmeg. Soft malt forms the foundation, while the hops deliver a light prickling bitterness. At 9% ABV, the alcohol warmth is present but not aggressive.

The finish is pleasantly bitter and clean, with lingering fruit fading gradually. This is a beer with character and monastic heritage.
