This White Label Barley Wine from Brouwerij Emelisse is an experimental barrel-aged release from their ongoing series of limited editions. The base is a robust barley wine finished in Old Smokey moonshine casks, bringing smoke, bourbon character and molasses sweetness to the fore.

Dark brown in the glass with aromas of malt, oak and bourbon, complemented by notes of vanilla. The palate is rounded and sweet with aged dark fruits, brown sugar and woody notes that integrate well. The alcohol is warming and present but not harsh.

This is a slow sipper for fans of complex, barrel-aged ales. Brouwerij Emelisse continually experiments with different cask types to craft rich, intricate flavours.
