De Leckere Black Emperor
Black Emperor is a collaboration between Brouwerij De Leckere from Utrecht and Duits & Lauret, launched in 2020. This Imperial Schwarzbier combines dark malt and a solid 8.5% ABV into a layered, assertive beer.
Aromas of rye bread, nuts and figs emerge from the glass. The palate is full and malt-forward, with dark grain character that carries through to a dry finish. This is a schwarzbier with substance—not a simple dark lager, but an expression built for contemplation.
De Leckere has been brewing distinctive beers since 1997 in De Meern near Utrecht, and has brewed entirely organic beer since 2018.
