Dendermonde
Dendermonde is a blond abbey beer from Brouwerij De Block, a traditional brewery in Merchtem-Peizegem with brewing heritage reaching back to the 14th century. This tripel is brewed following ancient monastic traditions, using fine ingredients and noble Belgian hops.
The beer pours clear golden with a stable white head. The nose reveals spicy character with yeasty and hoppy notes, complemented by subtle dried fruit aromas. On the palate, it is full-bodied and fruity, with a pleasant bitterness balanced by honey and spice notes, finishing with warming alcohol.
At 8% ABV, Dendermonde delivers the body and complexity expected of a tripel. It pairs well with rich fish, spiced dishes and meat.
