Dampegheest Alkmaars Blondje
Alkmaars Blondje from Brouwerij Dampegheest is a blonde wheat beer at 7% ABV, specially brewed for the cheese city of Alkmaar. The beer honours the Relief of Alkmaar in 1573, a turning point in the Eighty Years' War. The Limmen-based brewery crafts this beer with skill and, where possible, Dutch-sourced ingredients.
This golden beer presents aromas of light spice and flowers with fruity notes. On the palate, whey—a byproduct of cheese-making—adds character, creating a creamy texture and subtle sweetness. The blend of pilsner, pale, wheat and oat malts combined with Brewers Gold and Hallertau Mittelfrüh hops delivers a full, balanced flavour with pronounced fruit notes.
