Herkenrode Noctis
Herkenrode Noctis is an abbey beer from Brouwerij Cornelissen, named after Herkenrode Abbey, a Cistercian monastery founded in 1182. Brewed with Munich malt from spring barley and English aroma hops, this brown ale spends a month maturing on wood, which imparts subtle notes of vanillin and smoked character.
The beer bottle-conditions and displays a brown-orange hue. The nose showcases malt aromatics enhanced by the wooden maturation. On the palate, it delivers hearty, refined flavours with a lightly sweet and spicy finish. At 7% ABV and medium body, Noctis exemplifies traditional Belgian abbey brewing craftsmanship.
