Breugem emerged in 2013 as a continuation of the original social brewery. Master brewer Patrick Breugem, brewing since 2004 at several respected Dutch breweries, co-founded the company with Vincent Buijs and Paul Riteco. The brewery pursues sustainable practices and sources local ingredients where possible, now operating from the Breugem Meeting Point in Amsterdam's Houthavens.
