Inktvis is Brewpub De Kromme Haring's take on a Black IPA, brewed in Utrecht since 2014 with a focus on surprising, well-crafted beers. This dark ale surprises with its refreshing drinkability—never heavy or cloying. Abundant fruity aromas of grapefruit and citrus are enriched by a restrained roasted malt character that complements rather than dominates the hop profile.

The nose opens with typical IPA aromatics: grapefruit, fresh-cut grass and black pepper. On the palate, fruity hop character mingles with caramel and biscuit notes from the malt base. The finish is clean and mildly bitter, with a smooth texture that keeps the beer approachable despite its 6% ABV. Roast never overwhelms—instead it adds depth to a well-balanced dark IPA.
