Speedbird 100
Speedbird 100 is a Transatlantic IPA from BrewDog, created exclusively for British Airways to celebrate their centenary. This beer carries a remarkable story: it was partly brewed at 40,000 feet, making it the world's first beer brewed aboard an aircraft.
Golden amber in colour with the hue of a transatlantic sunrise, Speedbird 100 opens with honey and candied citrus on the nose. The palate delivers orange, lemon and tropical fruit notes, backed by a resinous hop character and clean malt foundation. The bitterness is measured and integrated, not dominating.
At 4.5–4.8% ABV, this is a sessionable IPA designed for easy drinking at altitude or anywhere else. The finish is smooth and dry, with lingering citrus and hop character without harshness.
