Hefetrüb
Edelweiss Hefetrüb is an Austrian wheat beer from Salzburg, brewed by Hofbräu Kaltenhausen since 1475. This unfiltered hefeweizen is known for its fresh, fruity character with distinct notes of green apple, banana and clove. The beer combines traditional ingredients—wheat malt, barley malt and hops—following classical brewing practice.
The flavour is well-balanced: lightly hoppy with a pleasant malt backbone that remains restrained. The aftertaste is pleasant and lingers for a minute or two. At 5.3% ABV, it is a refreshing choice that drinks smoothly without heaviness.
