La Corne
La Corne du Bois des Pendus Quadrupel from Brasserie des Légendes is a complex, aged quadrupel at 12% ABV. Founded in 1997 within the 12th-century Château de Irchonwelz in Wallonia, this brewery crafts characterful beers often rooted in local legends.
This oak-matured quadrupel displays a lighter hue than typical for the style. The nose reveals rich caramel and honey notes with hints of vanilla from the oak aging. On the palate, dark dried fruits and malt-driven caramel emerge, supported by a full body and bourbon warmth from the wood contact.
The finish is warming and dry, with a lingering alcohol warmth befitting the beer's strength. Traditionally served in the brewery's iconic horn-shaped glass.
