Celis White
Celis White is a witbier brewed by Brouwerij Van Steenberge in Belgium, based on the original recipe of Pierre Celis. This legendary brewer revived the witbier style in 1966 in Hoegaarden and later developed Celis White at his Texas brewery. After that operation closed, Van Steenberge took over production while preserving its authentic character.
The beer presents hazy pale yellow with a full white foam head. Spicy and floral on the nose, with distinct notes of orange peel and vanilla. On the palate, mildly sweet with balanced hop bitterness, followed by a crisp, lightly tart finish. Light to medium body with pleasant carbonation.
