Belgica IPA
Brouwerij Strubbe's take on a Belgian IPA blends American hop character with Belgian brewing tradition. The beer pours a deep ruby to burgundy colour with orange highlights. The aroma displays classic Belgian yeast notes alongside grapefruit and pine from the hop selection.
On the palate, apple and pear fruit emerge, joined by spice notes of vanilla, clove and white pepper. As the beer warms, vinous and peppery characteristics develop. The finish is dry and sharp, with a persistent bitterness that lingers across the palate.
Mouthfeel is a solid medium body with good carbonation and a dry conclusion. This beer represents an intriguing fusion of American hop tradition and Belgian fermentation character.
