Watou's Wit
Watou's Wit is a classic Belgian witbier from Leroy Breweries, developed in the mid-1980s to meet growing demand for white beer. The brewery is rooted in Watou, a West Flemish village near the French border with brewing heritage stretching back to 1624.
This witbier pours cloudy golden with a thick white head. The aroma opens with coriander and orange peel, followed by wheat and yeasty notes. The palate is light and dry, offering fresh citrus and mild orange flavours, balanced by gentle spice and a doughy malt foundation. Brewed with two malt varieties and three hop varieties in a high-fermentation process, it delivers a refreshing, approachable introduction to Belgian beer.
