Silly Abbaye Forest
Brewed at Brasserie de Silly since 2007, Abbaye de Forest draws on a recipe created by the Benedictine monks of the abbey it honours. This top-fermented blonde ale undergoes in-bottle re-fermentation and opens with a subtly perfumed aroma.
On the palate, a gentle bitterness gives way to fruity notes of raisin and pear, balanced by herbal and spicy hop character from Hallertau hops. The finish is dry and pleasantly bitter, with a tonic-like quality. A refined, well-composed blonde with genuine depth.
