Monk's Stout
Monk's Stout marks a revival of Brasserie Dupont's brewing heritage. Originally brewed in the 1950s at the farmhouse brewery, this recipe lay dormant for six decades before being resurrected in 2011. It is a restrained stout—not heavy or assertive, but crafted with care and historical purpose.
Roasted malts deliver gentle aromas and flavours of dark chocolate and coffee. The palate is clean and refreshingly dry, with a light spice from the yeast and a subtle hop presence that prevents flatness. At 5.2% ABV, it drinks easily and rewards careful attention to its layered, understated character.
