Boskeun
Boskeun is named after Jo Herteleer, one of two brothers who revived De Dolle Brouwers in Esen in 1980. First brewed in 1983, this strong Easter ale stands among Belgium's earliest seasonal traditions. It is brewed with pale malt, Golding hops, cane sugar and refermented with native honey.
The beer develops in bottle into a layered profile with deep fruit notes of banana, vanilla and pineapple, joined by Belgian yeast character and subtle spice. The palate is thick and full, creamy in texture, with a warming alcohol presence. The finish lingers with balanced, dry bitterness that cuts through the sweetness.
