Bieken is a strong blonde ale from Brouwerij Boelens in Belsele, a brewery with roots dating back to the 1850s. Kris Boelens created this beer in 1993 following an old family recipe, brewed with malted barley, Hawaiian honey, and noble hops. The honey delivers the beer's distinctive full, sweet finish.

Bieken presents a complex aroma of floral and citrus hop notes with light alcohol character. The palate reveals an interesting tension: light bitterness that builds in the aftertaste, supported by yeasty notes and dark fruit flavours.
