Wittoen
Wittoen is a tripel from Brouwerij Strubbe in Ichtegem, West Flanders, brewed using traditional methods. This brewery, situated in the shadow of the 17th-century St-Michel's Church, has remained in family hands for six generations and stands among Belgium's last traditional breweries.
This golden tripel displays a full, fruity character. The nose reveals warm notes of vanilla and caramel, with subtle floral hints. The palate is dry and well-carbonated, with pleasant bitterness balanced by fruity esters and spicy hop notes.
Wittoen finishes clean and dry, with a pleasant prickle from carbonation and lingering aftertaste. The body is light to medium, making this tripel highly approachable despite its respectable alcohol strength.
