Houblon Chouffe
Houblon Chouffe is a Belgian IPA at 9% ABV, brewed by Brasserie d'Achouffe in the Ardennes. This beer marries Belgian brewing tradition with American hop-forward character. It is brewed with three hop varieties—Saaz, Tomahawk and Amarillo—that deliver a fruity and citrus-forward profile.
The flavour is bold and floral, with distinct citrus and grapefruit notes. Belgian yeast contributes subtle fruit elements—banana and pear—that balance the hop bitterness beautifully. The beer is pale and slightly hazy, crowned with a generous foam head.
Despite its strength, Houblon Chouffe drinks deceptively smooth. The finish is dry and spicy, with a pleasant hop bitterness that never overwhelms.
