Taras Boulba
Taras Boulba is the lighter flagship beer from Brasserie de la Senne in Brussels. This 4.5% session ale began as a personal brew for the brewery team—something refreshing and drinkable after a long day at the kettle. It became an industry favorite and helped spark Brussels's modern brewing revival.
The beer is a modern interpretation of English cask ale, brewed with two yeast strains and generously dry-hopped. It pours pale and bright. The nose shows earthy hop character with citrus and subtle spice. Flavour opens with bright lemon, then evolves into a dry herbal finish with mineral backbone. A brewer's beer that demonstrates Belgian brewing can be bracingly bitter, crisp and refreshingly straightforward.
