La Corne du Bois des Pendus Black is a Belgian Strong Ale at 8% ABV, brewed by Brasserie d'Ebly. Named after an Ardennes legend from 1636 about 'the horn-shaped forest of the hangmen', this dark, hazy beer presents a coffee-coloured head.

The nose reveals complex dark malts, toffee and dried fruits, with hints of licorice and vinous character. On the palate, sweetness gives way to dominant notes of chocolate, roasted coffee and butterscotch, joined by plum and blackberry. A crisp, lightly bitter finish with roasted undertones follows.

The mouthfeel is not heavy but flavour-intense, with medium carbonation and a dry finish.
