Salt Beer Factory, based in the UNESCO village of Saltaire, crafted The Hexagon Project #1 as an experimental barrel-aged porter at 11% ABV. This inaugural release was aged in Bordeaux red wine casks, blending a robust dark malt foundation with the refined influence of oak, vanilla and bourbon character imparted by the wood.

The nose reveals sweet bourbon, vanilla and oak alongside liquorice, rich coffee and chocolate-covered raisins from the stout base. On the palate, a full and smooth body unfolds with dark fruit notes and warming alcohol. The finish lingers with complexity and depth.
