Scareweiss from Pulfer Brewery is a classic Hefeweizen brewed in Zagreb that bridges tradition and modern craft. This Croatian wheat beer uses German hops and traditional yeast, combined with contemporary malts to create something distinctive. The result is a crisp, soft beer that strikes an excellent balance between drinkability and flavour complexity.

In the glass, it pours a hazy golden colour beneath a substantial white head. The nose shows textbook Hefeweizen character: banana and clove notes take centre stage, with subtle sulphury undertones. At 5.5% ABV and with lively carbonation, Scareweiss presents a medium body and pleasant mouthfeel that invites another sip.
