Quadrocinno
Quadrocinno from Vliegende Paard Brouwers is a dark, full-bodied quadrupel where coffee and brewing heritage meet. This amber-brown ale marries the richness of caramel, brown sugar and dried dark stone fruit with a pronounced coffee character—Costa Rican coffee delivers the bitter-sweet finish.
The nose shows complex layers: sweet malt, toffee and coffee lead, with subtle spice underneath. On the palate, initial sweetness gives way to coffee astringency and roasted malt. Vanilla and dark fruit round out the profile. Full body and alcohol warmth (10% ABV) provide substance and a lingering heat.
Originally brewed as a winter seasonal, demand led to year-round production. A beer that echoes history—the marriage of honey and beer stretches back to ancient Mesopotamian brewing traditions.
