HillDevils Basement Barrel Aged Portwood is a Russian Imperial Stout matured for two years in Portwood casks. This Dutch brewery from Wouwse Plantage, founded by Marleen, Theo and Senne van Eekelen, focuses on English and American-style barrel-aged beers.

The beer presents a subtle smoky character with dried fruit in the aroma. On the palate, roasted malt, mocha and milk chocolate lead, with hints of sweetwood from the barrel maturation. The extended aging has added considerable depth and complexity. A full-bodied, warming stout best enjoyed at room temperature.
