Chimay Grande Réserve 2015 Vieillie en Fût de Bois is a barrel-aged expression of Abbey Notre-Dame de Scourmont's celebrated Grande Réserve. Following fermentation, this dark Belgian ale was matured in wooden casks, developing its signature woody and vanilla character.

The beer presents a dark reddish-brown hue with a refined head. The nose reveals woody aromatics with gentle vanilla notes, complemented by fruity esters of banana, pear and apricot. On the palate, oak dominates alongside sweet dried fruits, toffee and caramel. The beer carries subtle warmth and a full, layered mouthfeel that finishes long and rounded.
