Brouwerij De Ranke in Dottignies crafted Amer-Amer as a deliberate fusion of American and Belgian brewing traditions. The beer employs two American hop varieties grown in Belgium – a choice that yields a more balanced, softer bitterness than classic American IPAs.

The aroma is spicy and floral with peppery notes. On the palate, the hops shine through with citrus and herbal character, supported by subtle kandij sugar undertones. Drinkability remains central: less aggressive than American counterparts, yet without sacrificing intensity or flavour.
