Straffe Hendrik Heritage is an annual limited edition from Brouwerij De Halve Maan in Bruges. This dark, strong ale is brewed in autumn and aged for at least one year in diverse oak barrels, developing a complex character that evolves over time.

The barrel tannins blend beautifully with the rich notes of special malts. On the palate, roast, licorice and caramel emerge, followed by spices, woody red wine notes and dark fruit. The beer is smooth yet slightly acidic, balancing the warmth of 11% alcohol with the structure the wood imparts.

A beer for special occasions, capable of aging gracefully for up to ten years.
