Brehon Red Right Hand
Red Right Hand is a powerful barrel-aged barley wine from Brehon Brewhouse, an Irish farm brewery in County Monaghan. Founded by dairy farmer Seamus McMahon, the brewery draws inspiration from ancient Brehon law and brews with a strong sense of place and history.
Aged in bourbon barrels at 11% ABV, this barley wine layers rich caramel and toffee with warm vanilla and subtle bourbon character. The beer pours amber-red to chestnut brown, topped with a full, creamy head. On the palate, a complex malt profile unfolds—sweet, layered with toffee, spiced undertones, and a pleasant warming alcohol presence. The finish is soft and dry.
A layered, powerful beer built for keeping and savouring over time.
