Cantillon Saint Lamvinus
Saint Lamvinus is a fruit lambic from Brasserie Cantillon, one of Brussels' last traditional lambic breweries. This beer blends lambic aged 16 to 18 months with Merlot grapes and a dry hop addition of Hallertau, creating a complex, wine-like expression that blurs the line between beer and wine.
The nose reveals ripe grapes, red berries and subtle fermentation character. On the palate, grape tannins and skins take centre stage, balanced by pleasant sourness, hints of barnyard funk and a dry finish. The aftertaste lingers long and vinous, supported by a light to medium body shaped by oak ageing.
