Tally-ho
Tally Ho is a traditional barleywine brewed by Adnams Brewery in Southwold, Suffolk, since 1880. This seasonal Christmas beer undergoes extended maturation that develops complex, full-bodied flavours. It pours mahogany with a generous, creamy head.
The nose reveals rich dark dried fruits—particularly raisins—alongside toasted malt, dark chocolate and subtle caramel. The palate is malty and warming, with dark fruit and roasted grain character, punctuated by a fleeting peppery, spiced edge. A vinous quality runs through.
This is a full-bodied, warming beer with a dry, lingering finish. The slow maturation gives it depth and elegance—a classic British barleywine that has captivated generations of ale drinkers.
