Christmas Ale
Corsendonk Christmas Ale is a deep red-brown seasonal strong ale from Belgium, brewed by Brouwerij Corsendonk in Turnhout. This end-of-year beer is crafted from roasted specialty malts—Pale, Munich, and Caramunich—combined with Kent Goldings hops and seasoned with a subtle touch of coriander.
The nose reveals chocolate, smoke, and spice, layered with rich fruit character. On the palate, toffee, walnut, and molasses lead into a dry, peppery finish with lingering spice. The beer is bottle-conditioned and evolves gracefully with age, its flavours becoming more integrated over time.
At 8.5% ABV, it delivers warming alcohol without harshness—a contemplative winter choice that rewards careful sipping.
