Troubadour Obscura
Troubadour Obscura from Brouwerij The Musketeers is a mild dark red-brown ale that blends Belgian brewing heritage with contemporary craft sensibilities. At 8.2% ABV, it offers an alternative to sweeter abbey beers by combining the character of an English Porter or Stout in a drier, more malt-driven expression.
The robust malt flavour stems from a blend of four malts that reveal chocolate, coffee and vanilla notes. Layers of dark fruit—fig and overripe banana—add complexity and subtle sweetness that balances the roasted malt backbone. The finish is semi-dry with a gentle lingering bitterness and soft warmth from the alcohol, which remains refined and well-integrated.
