De Weldoener Blond from Brouwerij Maallust is a hoppy blonde ale with top fermentation, inspired by classic Belgian beer styles. This unfiltered and unpasteurised beer was named Best Beer of the Netherlands in 2022. At 6.5% ABV, it strikes a pleasant balance between bitterness and hop character.

The brewery, located in historic Veenhuizen, was founded in 2011 by a group of 25 entrepreneurs known as the 'Zware Jongens' (Heavy Guys). The Maallust name references the historic grain mill area in the village. The beer is smooth on the palate, rich in flavour and highly drinkable, brewed with water, malted barley, hops and top-fermenting yeast.
