Eanske Hoog en Droog
Hoog en Droog is a strong Brown Ale from Brouwerij Eanske in Enschede, named after the historic water tower built in 1890 that rises 40 metres above the city. This artisanal beer is brewed with Pilsner malt, brown malt, caramel malt 120 and Special B malt, hopped with American hops.
The beer presents a fruity aroma with subtle chocolate notes. On the palate, a fresh, lightly fruity character emerges, complemented by coffee-like tones. The finish is dry with a malty undertone, while the aftertaste lingers with coffee notes and a crisp mouthfeel.
At 8.5% alcohol, this is a full-bodied, characterful Brown Ale suited to evening contemplation.
