Donkere Dagen was the third beer released by Brouwerij Eanske, a small craft brewery based in Enschede that operated from 2013 until its closure in 2025. Brewed in memory of the devastating fires that struck Enschede throughout history, this Imperial Schwarzbier carries a name steeped in local heritage.

This dark lager displays a lightly roasted profile with substantial body for the style, thanks to its 7.5% ABV. The palate balances mild bitterness (23 IBU) with pleasant sweetness, revealing caramel undertones and a subtle smoky character.
