Brouwerij De Molen in Bodegraven crafted Bommen & Granaten Port Barrel Aged, a dark and rich barleywine at 12.2% ABV. The base beer was matured in port casks, layering the beer's inherent sweetness with complex sherry and port-wine characteristics.

The nose reveals ripe red fruits, dark fruit notes and raisins alongside cake-like malt. On the palate, toffee and mature fruit flavours take centre stage, complemented by subtle barrel influences. This is a full-bodied, warming barleywine with a bittersweet finish that rewards slow appreciation.
