Bommen & Granaten Cognac BA is a powerful barleywine from Brouwerij De Molen in Bodegraven, Netherlands. Born from a single 2000-litre base batch, this beer was matured in different barrels to yield five distinct fruity variations. The Cognac Barrel-Aged expression showcases ripe red fruit, full malt character, and cake-like notes alongside raisin and warming alcohol.

The palate is bittersweet and well-balanced, with soft bitterness framing the rich fruit. Stone fruit and honey add aromatic complexity. This is a contemplative beer, best enjoyed slowly in a snifter or tulip glass.
