The Witch King of Angmar from Brouwerij Alvinne is a dark, complex quadrupel matured in wooden barrels for extended periods. This Belgian brewery from Zwevegem near Zwevegem is a pioneer in barrel-aging, treating wood as an active ingredient in the brewing process.

Named after Tolkien's legendary antagonist, it carries appropriately dark, magical qualities. At 12% ABV, it delivers full body and layered flavours: dark fruit, caramel, wood and subtle acidity characteristic of Alvinne's approach. Soft carbonation and medium body give it a wine-like character.
