Brasserie de Silly

Scotch Silly

Scotch Silly is a Scotch Ale from Brasserie de Silly, a Belgian family brewery in Silly, Hainaut, with roots stretching back to 1850. The beer carries a distinctive story: it was born after the First World War when British troops were stationed near the village. The brewery created this ale for them, and it continues to be brewed today using the original recipe.

The taste brings together honey and caramel with subtle notes of plum and roasted malt. Kent Goldings hops provide character and refinement. Despite its 8% strength, the beer drinks with surprising approachability, balancing sweetness and bitterness in a way that rewards contemplation.

This is a characterful, traditional Belgian classic that commands respect and invites reflection.
