Basqueland Belma Spree
Belma Spree by Basqueland Brewing Project is a double IPA from Donostia, Spain, playfully named after the friendship in Thelma & Louise – here reimagined as Belma & Louise. This ambitious brew combines Belma and Citra hops in a full-bodied, fruit-forward expression at 8% ABV.
The beer opens with a rich aromatic blend of citrus, tropical fruit and floral notes, layered with subtle grassy and herbal-hoppy character. The palate is sweetly malty and creamy, with stone fruit and tropical elements that weave through the hop bitterness in a compelling interplay.
The finish is dry and pleasantly bitter, with a crisp edge that keeps the beer lively and engaging. A full-bodied IPA for those who embrace bold hop profiles.
