Amelander Streekbier is the pride of Doeke Visser, who has been brewing beer on Ameland since 2006. What began as home brewing in Ballum grew into a full-fledged brewery housed in a farmstead on Smitteweg. This regional beer distinguishes itself through the use of cranberries harvested from the dunes near Ballum – a distinctive ingredient that imparts a characteristic fresh tartness.

At 6.5% ABV, this beer offers a light and crisp finish. The cranberries provide a subtle sourness that carries through the aftertaste, while the hop character comes through clearly, adding depth to the beer. Ideal for enjoying on a warm day on the terrace.
